Children physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for children and teenagers

We are convinced that many movement difficulties in adulthood could have been effectively prevented already in childhood. We understand the problems that children and teenagers face during their development and sports activities, and in terms of movement education and prevention this is the most important period of life. We work with children of all ages.

Children's physiotherapy is very important for the healthy development of a child. It helps prevent problems that currently trouble a large proportion of adults. It improves quality of life and teaches both children and parents how to use their bodies as well as possible.

What do we most often deal with?

Children today spend a lot of time sitting – doing homework, in the car, on phones and tablets. There is less and less movement, which can cause poor posture. The body then adopts unhealthy movement habits and carries them into adulthood.

  • poor posture,
  • flat feet,
  • turned-in ankles, fallen heels or other foot deformities,
  • post-injury conditions,
  • altered gait, toes turned inwards, toe-walking, limping,
  • overloaded muscles, back and joint pain, asymmetric loading and more.

How can therapy help your child?

For physiotherapy to be effective in the long term, active cooperation of both children and parents is needed. Regular active movement should also be one of the habits children take into adult life.

We also offer consultations for children who play sport and are often subjected to one-sided overload. For them, correcting faulty movement patterns leads not only to protection from health problems, but also to better sports performance.

During therapy we aim to build correct movement habits, improve posture and develop coordination, balance, endurance and strength, carrying out the exercises and treatment in a playful way and with a kind approach, so that every client feels good with us.

Prevention in children

In any case, it is proven that the best way to avoid problems is prevention. Few people come with a child – at any age – if nothing is wrong; they come only when there is a problem that could have been prevented. Many factors affect children's rehabilitation, whether it is lack of time, school, after-school activities or parents' work load. It is important to keep in mind that the sooner help is provided, the more easily and quickly the problem can be solved.
